At this deputy minister noted: it is unknown, this change of the Russian tactics, or just desire to drag out process of consultations. "Anyway it did not affect positions of the parties concerning our seamen and the ships. Arguments which we heard from the Russian Federation today only confirmed our launching site that it is about application of the Convention of the UN under maritime law which guarantees immunity to our warships and members of their crews", - Zerkal noted. According to her, exchange of views confirmed existence between the parties of a legal dispute over application of the international maritime law. This fact is corner for judicial review of this dispute. "We expect that the Tribunal for maritime law will confirm our requirements soon. Today-tomorrow date of hearings in Hamburg (previously - on May 6-7) will be finally announced ", - Zerkal reported. She noted that by then Russia has an opportunity voluntarily to release the Ukrainian seamen and warships and to eliminate violation of international law. Last week it became known that Ukraine appealed to the International Tribunal for maritime law to enter measures against Russia and with the requirement to release three ships and 24 servicemen who were captured at the Kerch Strait.
