New promoter Usika: The Ukrainian won't fight with Lebedev

Eddie Hearn has excluded a possibility of a duel Usik – Lebedev. The British promoter Eddie Hearn with whom Alexander Usik has the day before signed the contract, has told about the closest plans of the Ukrainian. "Usik will probably have the next fight in November with Tony Bellew. Bellew irrespective of result of fight, will finish career. Usik after the victory will probably pass into a super heavyweight. These are his plans for which implementation we have signed the contract. Usik wants to become a champion in a super heavyweight, and a duel with Bellew - his last stop before change of category. In my opinion, if there is no fight with Bellew, then Usik will immediately pass in superheavyweights and will definitely not meet Denis Lebedev that is wanted by WBA", - Hearn has said. We will remind that recently WBA has obliged the Ukrainian boxer Alexander Usik to carry out protection of the champion belt against Lebedev. The Russian has already expressed readiness for this duel, and even agrees to carry out it in Ukraine. Subscribe also for our page about boxing in Telegram!
