In the EU in a new way test a car for volumes of harmful emissions

Such steps can negatively affect growth of the European automobile market - not all models can pass a new test. Since September in the countries of the European Union all new cars have to take the WLTP tests, for compliance to the norms of harmful emissions and consumption of fuel declared the producer, Autoconsulting reports. It is noted that such steps can negatively affect growth of the European automobile market as not all models of cars in Europe can pass this test. Tests of the World testing laboratory WLTP have succeeded the NEDC tests which have been developed as early as the 80th years of the last century. The NEDC tests defined indicators, according to theoretical average values of conditional style of driving. The WLTP tests are based on real data, collected from around the world. The cycle of driving of WLTP is divided into four parts with a different average speed: low, average, high and ultrahigh. Each part contains a set of phases of driving, a stop, acceleration and braking. And each configuration of transmission is checked for the most economic and least economic version of the car. Besides, WLTP has been developed for use as a global cycle of tests in different regions of the world. Therefore emissions of pollutants and CO2 and also indicators of consumption of fuel will be comparable worldwide. Today already completely Mitsubishis, Toyota, Lexus, Daimler, Jaguar, Land Rover, Peugeot, Citroën, DS, Nissan, Infiniti, Volvo and the Renault Group cars conform to new requirements. However the Volkswagen cars – aren't present. In this regard the producer plans to close the main plant in Wolfsburg (Germany) for 1-2 days a week until the end of September. It becomes to bring motors of VW into accord with new European norms of harmful emissions which will be measured on the new WLTP system, notes the edition. Earlier it was reported that the USA intends to use on development of electromobility of means, received from payment of multi-billion penalties by the German concern Volkswagen during diesel scandal.
