In Russia the sentence to Ukrainian Sushchenko has come into force


The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation recognized as lawful a sentence to the journalist. The Ukrainian intends to appeal against the decision in ECHR. The Supreme Court of Russia has confirmed legality of a sentence to the Ukrainian journalist Roman Sushchenko sentenced to 12 years of maximum security penal colony for espionage. It on Wednesday, September 12, Interfax reports. "To leave a sentence of the Moscow City Court of July 4, 2018 without changes, appeals - without satisfaction", - it is said in the decision of appeal board of Russian Armed Forces. Thus, the sentence has taken legal effect and is subject to execution. Sushchenko has said that he doesn't agree with the judgment and intends to address with the complaint to the European Court of Human Rights.
