A third суперземель can be covered with oceans

Scientists have studied thousands of exoplanets of terrestrial type to define on how many them them there is water. Experts from Harvard University headed by the scientist Li Zeng have predicted existence of hundreds of planets oceans. For this purpose they have analysed data of four thousand exoplanets, Goldschmidt Conference writes. The Kepler and Gaia space telescopes have managed to find several thousands of exoplanets. Scientists have paid special attention to "superzeml" – planets, much more Earth, but not gas giants. Data of researches show that a ratio of radius and mass of the exoplanet with terrestrial, conditions on this planet can foretell. Superzemli with one-and-a-half radius of Earth have to have a firm surface five times heavier. And twice major planets (2,5 radius and 10 masses) have to be completely covered with oceans. Scientists consider that every third "суперземля" is the planet ocean. Earlier broken telescope has found 44 new exoplanets Also the Correspondent wrote that astronomers have found star system with three zemlepodobny planets of News from the Correspondent.netv of Telegram.
